Weibull scale parameter a for different heights
The Weibull scale parameter is a “measure” for the average wind speed. As to be expected, the average wind speed is higher in winter and autumn than in summer and spring.
These maps present the average scale (a) parameter over 1979-2013 for the KNW-domain. You can select 8 different heights: 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 150, 200m. Notice that the color scale for Weibull scale parameter a differs for the different heights.
